1. Our approach
Soca Globe aims to keep tracking to a minimum. The current public platform does not intentionally use Meta/Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel or similar behavioural advertising technology designed to follow visitors across unrelated websites.
Soca Globe operates its own first-party analytics system to understand how the platform is used.
2. Theme preference
Soca Globe may use local browser storage to remember whether you selected the light or dark appearance. The current preference is stored using the key soca-theme.
This preference is used to remember the interface appearance on your device and is not used to create an advertising profile. You can remove it by clearing website data in your browser.
3. First-party analytics
Soca Globe uses first-party analytics to measure page views, approximate unique visitors, sessions, device category, referring domains, popular pages, searches, viewed Soca countries/scenes, artist and producer views, event and track views, and clicks on external music, social and event links.
The analytics system does not require an analytics cookie or persistent browser visitor ID. To estimate unique visitors, the server temporarily processes the request IP address and browser/user-agent information to generate a one-way pseudonymous hash. Raw IP addresses and full user-agent strings are not stored in the dedicated Soca Globe analytics files.
Analytics information may be retained for approximately 400 days.
4. Administrator authentication
The private Soca Globe administration environment uses necessary authentication/session technology, including an administrator authentication cookie, to keep an authorised administrator securely signed in. This functionality is not used for public advertising or behavioural visitor tracking.
5. External technical services
Soca Globe may load technical resources, images, country flags, software libraries or other assets from external content-delivery services. When a resource is loaded directly from an external provider, that provider may receive technical information necessary to fulfil the request, including an IP address, browser information and the requested resource.
Soca Globe does not intentionally use these technical requests for cross-site behavioural advertising.
6. External websites and social platforms
Soca Globe may link to Spotify, Instagram, event organisers, venues, ticketing platforms, artists and other third-party websites. When you choose to open an external website, that site's own privacy and cookie practices apply.
7. Cookie consent
The current public version of Soca Globe does not intentionally activate non-essential behavioural advertising or cross-site marketing cookies.
For that reason, Soca Globe currently does not display an “Accept all advertising cookies” consent banner. If technologies that require prior consent are introduced in the future, the relevant technology, policy and consent mechanism should be updated before or when those technologies are activated.
8. Managing browser data
You can use your browser settings to inspect stored website data, delete cookies, delete local storage, block certain cookies or clear website permissions. Blocking necessary storage may affect features such as remembering the chosen theme or administrator authentication.
9. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated if Soca Globe changes its analytics, advertising technology, authentication, browser storage, external integrations or technical infrastructure. The latest version will be published on Soca Globe with its revision date.
